I have a 1999 Polaris scrambler 500. the tires that came on it are 23-7-10 on the front, and 22-12-10 on the back. are these the right size? e

It's correct. Pretty sure the rear chain/sprockets is geared so there won't be 4wd issues when the fronts engage. Have a 2010 Scrambler and never had an issue with 4wd. That being said, if you change tire size make sure you do it equally. Upgraded mine to swamp lites with 26" up front and 25" rear. Huge improvement over the stock tires for grip! Next step will be clutch and exhaust :-)
