my friend bought this 650 a couple summers ago. its an 03 or 04. coolant has been leaking into oil ever since he has had it. he hasnt been that interested in getting the water pump fixed. just been changing the oil occasionally. it has 27s on it and would only get up to about 45 which i always thot was slow for being a 650. well last ride we went on he said its down on power. i got around to changing the oil on it the other day and checking it out and its not shifting into 3rd in auto or esp. tops out at 26mph and says its in 3rd but there is no shift and the engine maxes out waiting to shift. ive read about the orings for low power but ive never seen that be a fix for not shifting at all. could they be the problem? thanks
