im looking to upgrade from my 85 lt250r. I will be selling it as soon as I finish the rebuild. I have found this 07 trx450er FOR SALE OR TRADE 2007 HONDA TRX450 - Charlottetown ATV For Sale - Kijiji Charlottetown Canada. the person was asking 2200 but says they will take 1800. The motor needs a new piston and rings. What do you guys think? these bikes around here go for 4000-4500.

 

Good chance you're going to get much deeper in the motor that just the piston, but it'll still be a fair deal IMO.

 

That's exactly what I thought. I'm familiar with 2 strokes but 4 strokes are new to me. Is there a way to check to see if the valves are damaged? Without tearing apart the motor?

 

What would you guys pay for the bike knowing the information you know?
