Default 2006 outlaw carb

Neighbor just brought this home and gas is coming out of the upper vent on the carb. Gas is coming out of the overflow on the bottom too. It will crank up and run for a few seconds, thats when the gas starts to come out of the upper vent. My question is, is the gas that is coming out of the upper vent due to overloading the carb with gas because of the malfunctioning float valve?

I have a 2007 and mine was recently draining out of the overflow, but i seafoamed it and it cleared up. It never shot gas out of the upper vent though. Thanks, Ken

Sticky float needle and seat probably causing the overflow. Time for a carb kit or at least a new needle and seat sounds like. Seafoam ,etc can help clean up some carbs, but nothing beats physically taking them apart and doing the job right.
