I love Polaris to death but I will tell you one thing there manual is terrible. I was looking in it the other day and wow, they have all of the types of quads that they make in one book and you have to find what has to do with yours. Does anyone know of a better resource than that of Polaris?

Thanks

The '99 service manuals are out, I have seen it. I wanted to get one, but with all the mods I have to my 400 only about half of the info/specs would allpy to me, so I decided against it.

Its a huge 3-ring binder.

Clymer is like 3 years behind in their publications. You should be able to get the factory service manual from your dealer for about $55.

I couldn’t agree more about the worthlessness of the Polaris owner’s manual. I’ve owned 5 Polaris machines in the last 3 years and my wife’s 2000 Magnum 325 came with the worst manual of the bunch so it appears they’re getting worse, not better.

For current model Polaris machines the only manual available is the factory service manual from the dealer. It’s is very good, but covers all Polaris ATVs and is expensive. I bought one last year for about $50 then had to buy the current supplement for about $40 to bring it up to the current year. Now, with a 99 Sportsman and a 2000 Magnum to service, I’m waiting to buy the latest supplement to cover my current machines. The last time I checked it wasn’t available yet but it’s been awhile.
