When I start my 2011 Rubicon in gear the rev limiter comes on. Also the brake light is on all the time. I have to turn it off and restart in neutral and it will run fine but the brake light stays on. Where do I begin troubleshooting?

 

I would check all brakes switches..The atv thinks brakes is on so the rev limiter is there to keep from driving with brakes on..Both brakes levers on handlebars have buttom type switches behind rivot part of lever,foot brake pedal has an spring type buttom switch behind the floorfoard attached to rear of foot pedal..one or all stuck or pivot points are dirty an makes hard for levers or pedal to return.i would unplug each one by one to see which one is the problem...

I had a wire that had come loose on the right hand brake lever.
