sorry about the way i basically slammed polaris on the post dealing with the sp500 or magnum 500. i had a crappy day and was coming down with a cold and it made me feel better to slam something; however, the next day i realized what i had done and it made me feel like sh*t. if you read the reply, don't respond to it. i tried to delete it but that wasn't possible. consider this to be a retraction and if i slam anyone it should be myself.

thanks,

texascat

Apology accepted.
Just curious, why do you need a 4x4 in a place like Texas? Is it just for muddin'. I dont recall seeing any elevation lines on the topographical map of Texas! LOL!

Soggy I used to live in south Texas and you are right about the lack of elevation lines on topo maps. Why South Texas is so flat if you stand on a tuna fish can you can see the other side of the world. And if you turn a bucket upside down and stand on it, you can see the back of your head. Now thats Flat. Central and West Texas do have some hills and even a few mountains (rare).

There is alot of good hill climbing to be done in East Texas that requires 4WD. Barnwell Mountain riding area for one has some extreme hills. They are only 200-300 feet high, but 4WD is very much recommended along with the required helmet.

No problem done the same thing, actually have misread a post that was meant as a joke and went off, read it a couple days later and was D**N! That guy is going to hate me for sure. I have never ridden an atv in texas but have been to El Paso, I like it there we used to cross over to Jaurez, Juarez is a wild place. Especially when the waiter asked us if we had ever seen a woman and a donkey go at it! He was going to hook us up with a show. It was actually tempting but my roommate figured we might not make it out of mexico alive.
