Default Ticking Valve Adjustment

Hey OPT,

I adjusted my valves and realized that everytime i adjust the space according to the .15 mm feeler gauge and take it out, the top of the valve pusher or rocker or whatever falls down and makes a *tick* noise. Is it supposed to stay up or fall down?

Make sure you're at TDC with the cam index pin straight up and lobes will be down! Use two feeler gauges on the exhaust rocker arm so it won't be cocked. With the feller gauge inserted and valves adjusted to .006(.15mm) there should be a slight drag on the feeler gauge. YES,there will be a little up and down play on the rocker arms, but when you reinsert the gauge it still should have a drag to it.

Ok, well, i put everything back together. Cranked it up, and it's quieter, but still has a ticking noise. :/
