My friend wants a high peformance quad but dose not know what to buy? He will be doing woods riding and
trail riding and a little MX plus maby a Trip or two out to Glamis but that is not for sure he was looking at a
400ex and a raptor. He is 6'4 230 pounds and a 400ex and raptor fit him pretty well. He wants somthing
reliable and 4 stroke he wounders if the raptors extra CCs are really worth the extra money over the 400ex. Or
if you can put that money into a 400ex and make it better.

P.S. He has never owned a high peformance quad before just workers

 

Bein that Tall he will like the Raptor better and even the DS650. If I had to pick between Raptor and 400EX it would be Raptor by far. Actually I have chose b/ I am goin to sell the 400.

The Raptor is just an amazing bike. The 400 just feels like a little toy.

 

first choice is the all mighty $. How much can he afford to spend? Then there is other option after that. If he can afford the Raptor there is no need to cut a corner and wish he bought something larger when you are making payments on it. Resale of a machine or trading it in can be a nightmare. I can tell you from experience. I have a 99 ZX7R that i am trying to trade because I still owe more than any human in there right mind would buy it for and the dealerships are giving it to me with no KY jelly. So make the choice to get what you want the first time.

 

Don't have your friend get the 400ex, I'm the same size as him and after a couple hours of riding my knees got sore from being cramped, i tried my friends raptor and it was much better. Thus, I sold my 400 and am currently waiting for my raptor to come in. Good luck

 

How dose the raptor work on MX tracks

 

I SOLD MY 400EX FOR A BANSHEE. it was lacking in the power department. i would go with the raptor.... it looks sweet as hell.. but, i love my banshee and wouldnt trade it for anything..
