Default 06 honda trx500 fe electric shift problems

Hi I am new to the forum and have a 2006 honda trx500 fe es which stops shifting when riding, I have brought up the code but cannot find a solution for the problem, is there anyone who can give me an idea where to start?

I haven’t got the 500 Workshop Manual but fault code 3 is the angle sensor on the 450. Check the wiring to it and if that is OK try a new sensor.

Yes angle sensor is most of the problem on these ES models. But before you change out like said check wiring and connection to sensor, also may sure shift button is sending the signal to angle sensor to shift...If not getting signal to shift get back here..Good Luck

Removed the angle sensor, gave it a good clean as it was covered in dirt went out the next day and it gave me no problems, let's just hope it doesn't do it again, thanks everyone.
