Default 9 v plug

Just read a post about an un-used 9v plug.While doing work under my front plastic(o4 sp400) I noticed an un-used plug,but it wasnt 9v,but a factory female 2 pin type.Anyone know what its for,

9v plug connectors are on efi machines only and used when hooked up to Digital Wrench. The small connector plug that's tucked under the headlight pod and sometimes slips out is just a test plug for the speedo as it goes down the assembly line.Seems like everyone wonders about this.

...didnt think it was too important,well atleast until polaris solr the rig.And I can assume the single red wire with the male end is also something along the same line?

If there is a single red or a red/white wire,it should be sealed and used as an auxiliary connection such as a red power wire to a winch switch,or a red/white with power only with the key on for other add ons.
