I've got an 86 Fourtrax 250 that isn't getting power. I just replaced the battery thinking that was the problem and nope. I'd try and start it and nothing would happen, no lights, no indicator lights and no crank. However I could get it running by using the kick start. It would fire up and the headlight would turn on the indicator lights would light up and it would run fine. This wasn't to bad when it was warm but now with cold Michigan winter arriving and wanting to do some hunting I replaced the battery and had the same problem. It seems to me that the machine simply isn't getting power from the battery. I don't know if the ignition switch is bad, if a fuse is blown somewhere, if there is simply a bad connection somewhere or if some sort of relay or other electronic unit might be bad and need replacing. Any suggestions or help would be GREATLY appreciated!
