Default 2006 sportsman will only idel

Hi I have a 2006 sportsman 500 ho carb it only will idel I have replaced the ecm in it already and have cleaned the carbs looking for some more hits this thing has me stumped

it happened one day when I was driving along it just died then it would onlt idel

Check the throttle cable and housing first.Pull the fuel line from the carb and crank the engine over. If you have a steady pulse of fuel,you can eliminate the fuel pump and inline filter.Plus pour some of the fuel from the line in a clear container and see if you have water in the fuel. It will settle at the bottom.Just cleaning a carb may not always help also. If you didn't install a new carb kit or at least a new needle and seat you could still have carb problems.Adjusting the float level is something a lot of people never check also. Here's the same basic BST40 carb on a Ktm. Look towards the bottom of the article on carb assembly and adjusting float level. The BST-40 Bible - ADVrider
