TRX300ex or 400ex?
#1
I was thinking about starting a new project on my 1995 300ex, my dad blew a fuse and thought the battery was bad until I took a look at it so it went about 3 years without running at all. I'm kinda new to quads and I want to learn a little, I was thinking about tuning up my 300ex or selling it and saving up for a 400ex or a 450r what should I do? And if I tune it up what should I put on it to keep the reliability and add on some speed? It runs fine it honestly probably has around 50-80 miles on it, I mostly ride trails and goon ride with my freinds but we are starting to race and I need it to keep up with the blaster. If you have any suggestions feel free I have around 400-800$ to put into it (Im 13 and saved for a year).

Welcome to the forums.
At 13 and cash challenged (like we all are) I'd say keep the 300ex and do some to it.
Maybe add a slip on silencer.
The 400 and 450 all are great, perhaps in your future.
I have a 300 and love it. Very dependable machine.
NO, it's not a speed demon but it should rival a blaster. In the woods I can keep up, in the straights, no. LOL
