I'm starting to look around for rear tires for my shee, and have narrowed it to :
Razrs
Holeshot
400EX
All these are 20", unless some mx oriented 18" exist for a 9" rim (haven't been able to find that)

Then comes the ply rating choice. Hoeshot mx are 2 plys, RAzrs come in 4 ply, as Holeshot xc, and Razrs also come 6 ply (I don't want the 22" xct holeshot, too big). I don't know about the otshu 400EX tire.

I guess they are all at the same level for grip...but I'veheard that 400EX get punctured very easily...I don't want no puncture!!

Anyways, any info on this tire choice appreciated. Again, if someone knows 9"/18" mx tires, let me know.

Thanks

Stay far away from the Otshu's. They have a very thin sidewall. I SHREDDED all 4 in less than a month.

if you dont ride in rocky enviroments then the otshu 400 tires are great, I love them in the dirt and there decent in the mud but I am now scared to take them in rocky environments.

Example, 2-400exs, 1 banshee, 1 blaster all went riding. I (400ex) ended up with a side wall puncture the size of a golf ball almost, the other 400 also got a small hole in the tread area that needed a plug, but the banshee and blaster had no tire problems.

i'll testify to the others comments,
no rocky mountains.
on the plus side, my buddies modded banshee holeshotted all of us most of the time with some brand new raptor tires (including the raptor with some razors on hard pack & street). he would launch the front end wheels up!

If you like to hillclimb, the ohtsu's are the best hooking tire on the market...but they are thin on the sidewalls. They are radials and do provide a soft ride. The secret is to run 5lbs of air in em and they won't roll onto the sidewall as easily.

Razr's will give you the most bite, otherwise. They are a tough costumer too...even the 4ply's.
