I have the FMF and I like it. Yeah its loud, but I like it that way. A friend of mine has a '01 400EX with the same mods as me, and they run neck and neck. Read and believe what you want about which pipe makes the most HP. A good technician can make his dyno report what he or someone else wants. Just like anything else, they aren't perfect. Just please yourself.

I ran the FMF Power Core IV on my EX for 2 years. I then had some engine mods and continued to run the Core IV with pleasing results. I got talked into changing the FMF for a Complete Big Gun exhaust and I'm finding that I liked the Core IV better. I'll be doing some testing the next time I go out. I'll switch pipes at lunch so I have an equitable comparison.
Any information I get I'll be sure to share with all. But I really liked the Core IV and my riding buddy had the White Bro's and he didn't like it at all and went with Big Gun. Maybe it's preference but that is my experience, take it for what it's worth.

I have had 3 different pipes for my 400. the first is the FMF megamax, it broke. Next is the FMF powercore, It was ok but not what I expected. Next I got the Big Gun System, it is the worst pipe I have ever had. If you have a built engine do not get the Big Gun, the headpipes are too small. I am going to order the complete wb pipe. On a built 400 the wb puts out 4 more horsepower than the big Gun.

Go to ATV News at http://atvnews.rivals.com/ They tested just about everything on the market. Sounds like White Brothers E-series is the way to go.
