brown wire on voltage regulator
#1
i recently became the new owner of a 2000 polaris magnum 500 . the old flywheel decided to give up one of its magnets and subsequently trashed the stator . i have replaced all of this mess with the updated flywheel , stator and cdi . before i took the old junk out i noticed that the brown wire on the voltage regulator was not connected to anything . i figured i would find out where it is supposed to go when i got in there and had a closer look . no such luck . after looking over the wiring diagram the most logical place looks to be on the ground side of the coil with the other brown wires . i figured it was better to ask someone who knows for sure instead of learning the hard way . thanks , your help is greatly appreciated . capt bart

Like readymixer169 said brown is ground on Polaris. Tried taking a pic from a 2000 Spts 500 manual. Don't know how good it looks, but see where the brown goes. You can tie it anywhere and coil mount is as good as any.
