425 expedition gear case oil?
#1
Went to change front and read gear case oil and mistakingly put in the front AMS chaincase oil which I found out is 75-140. After looking in the manual it calls for 80-90 GL5. I wonder if I should flush with brake cleaner before adding correct oil. Any input is appreciated. Also there is no place to check level and manual says 5oz in the front and 10 oz so I'll get out the measuring cups. Thanks in advance.

You can change it if you wish,Just drain the gear oil out,no need to flush, but probably won't hurt to leave the gear oil in.Does show 5 ounces for the front, but filling to the bottom of the fill thread holes you'll probably only get about 4 ounces in. Same on the rear,I just filled to the bottom of the fill thread holes.Tad over won't hurt as both cases are vented.

Ok so while out in the snow today I determined the front wheels are not engaging in 4wd. I put a chain on the two hit and secured to a tree and the rear wheels spun in the snow but nothing from the front. The front axles were turning but wheels not grabbing if you know what I mean. I checked the connection to handle grip and it appears to be plugged in all the way. Wondering how to troubleshoot. Thank you.

Check that the awd connectors under the front panel are ok,but highly unlikely this is the problem if both wheel don't turn. If you haven't changed hub fluid,I'd do this, but probably a grounding issue same as what the Sportsmans and other models had because of the thin awd ground wires. You might try what this guy did and see if it solves the problem.
