Default shorter stance ?

I have a 02 sportsman 700 and soon plan to get aftermarket wheels and I hate for the rear to be any wider than what it already is.. is it any way to shorting it out ? Any other models compatible with shorter axles, control arms, and upper a arms ?

I don,t understand.
Your getting new aftermarket rear rims (Wheels)? Just buy rims with the same offset and nothing should change from stock in anyway. ATV Tire and Wheel Application Chart : ATV Tires Free Shipping : ATV Wheels : Mud-Throwers.com just a straight forward bolt on swap over of the rims.

Its done all the time.

Aftermarket wheels do widen the stance out, even with the same offset

How does a aftermarket Rim with the same specs as the OEM Rims change anything?
Same width, Dia, offset and bolt pattern mean same size rim.

A 12"x7", 4/156 boltpattern with 4+3 offset rim is a 12x7, 4/156, 4+3 rim no matter what's its made of what it looks like and who made it.

The link I showed says your stock is 12"x7", 4/156 bolt pattern with 4+3 offset .
The SS Rim (Pic) they sell is ,what do you know, also a 12"x7", 4/156 bolt pattern with 4+3 offset .

Rim off set and Tire width are the only number changes the ATV wheel stance.

I have to agree with TLC - the same offset is the same offset. It's the same width.

I've talk with guys with same model atv with aftermarket wheels with same specs and it widen it out 2" from stock offset, making it able to clear 10.5" tires in the front with out spacers , so it's with out a doubt that aftermarket wheels widen stance unless it depends on which brand wheel you get.

If you change the off set from its stock 4+3 to a 3+4 then you will be 1" wider on each side making it 2" wider over all.

Just stay with the stock off set and nothing can change. 7" rim with 4"+3" off set.
