So I have this 250 that is eating batteries I am on my 2nd in 9 months.
Problem is at a complete full charge it will typically turn over once but if it stalls out either by itself or by my forgetting it has a clutch, it will not refire. It will just keep cranking but won't turn over.

I have replaced battery, starter and solenoid. When on the starter button I sometimes hear what sounds like the battery sizzling and the hot lead gets warm.

Any help you guys could throw at me would be appreciated. Otherwise it's going to craigslist.

 

sounds like your ground cable is poor and or your connection to the solenoid.

 

I will check that tonight.
