Hi Im trying to help a friend with a Unison 150 Desert Cat - its green and pretty clean

It will start if I kick start it, but just clicks when I hit the start switch. It started with the started before and started right up and idles fine when it does. Battery is newer and I charged it, I figure just the starter motor is toast. I smacked it with something a couple times, that made no difference. I also jumped the solenoid terminals - no difference.

When I get it started and let it idle (which it idles fine), if I rev it, it will slam into forward or reverse, like its missing a detent to hold it into neutral. Other wise it just sits precariously in the tang of the shifter. I'm wondering if its missing something to keep it there.

Also when I do get it started and warm, when I put it in gear and it is stopped, it dies. It idles find in neutral, but dies in drive or reverse.

I need help to get the neighbors quad outta my garage and fixed...

Could be a broken spring in the clutch. It should not move at all in neutral though.

 

Yup the clutch grenaded, where in the heck can I get a replacement clutch and drum?

Not sure about a factory replacement, but im sure they have those too.
