Question 2009 135cc quad

I have a 135cc 2009 Tao Tao quad it is a sport model and I was wondering if it's okey to go mudding with it in deep water since it is air cooled (does not have a cooler) I've been going through shallow water and mudd but wondering if it will hurt the engine if I go into deeper mud and water.

Well if you destroy the motor its like 300 bucks to replace.. everything on that quad will rust and fall apart if you sneeze on it.. good luck and dont let the air filter get wet.

Most Chinese quads have unsealed electrical connections so shorts and corroded terminals are going to be a problem.

iv taken a 110 through water deeper than the air filter several times with no issues other than taking on water.. pull the plug push out the water shake out the filter and off it will go again. In reality air cooled and water cooled dosent really matter when it goes through water/mud it always cools the engine faster. Just make sure when you get home to give it a good wash and get the mud off everything and you should be fine. our air cooled king quad is always in deep mud/water never misses a beat
