is there any oil to be changed in the crank case on my new 400 explorer?>

Not in your crank case but the counter balancer needs to be changed it hold 3 OZ of 10w30 And is kinda a pain to do but it is needed. Look in your owners manual it tells you how.

No way its gunna hold 30 ounces, 3 ounces is more like it...but thats probley what you meant anyway.

I would use slick 50 gear oil instead of the motoroil the gear oil will stick to the bearings better.
