Default Can you flip the differential to the opposite side?

I was thinking of removing the engine on Kasea sky hawk and putting in a Honda Gx200.

Can I flip the differential around so the chain sprocket is on the left side?

if its just a chain and sprocket. then yes.. don't think you can take the hole rear end off and flip it. Need to take the shaft out and flip it and then figure out how you are going to mount your brakes

Same thing I was thinking. Axle would be ok, minus the brake issues.

Wouldn't a differential change like that make you go backwards instead of forwards?

Why? Is the motor going in reverse?

Guess it would depend on how the shaft itself was spinning.

Simple thing to do is take a pencil, hold it longways (left to right) in front of you and spin it. As you are turning it, flip it over. It's now turning in the opposite direction.

As i stated before.. why engine going in reverse? If the engine is running forwards then their is no reason the rear end will go in reverse. its been done in automotive since the invention of cars.

Never mentioned the engine.

On a differential, it's going to matter which way the drive shaft is turning.

If you don't think flipping a rear differential will make a difference in an automobile, try it on your car and see which way it goes when you put it in drive.
