Raptor Backfires - Carb Boots
#1
My bonestock Raptor at high rev's or when choppin the throttle will backfire and blow the carb boots or airfilter foam off. I'm talking Bonestock - at sea level or 600'...
Did Yam ship the Raptor lean (like Honda did on the 400EX etc)? If so whats recommended? Do I need to rejet the stock motor or make adjustments?
I know the airfilter system is lame, just waiting for K&N and Proflow to actually ship parts (been on back order). But on the boots blowing off what's the fix?
Thanks,

This issue has been beat to death in this forum already. Do a search on keywords like "blown" or "carb".
