I saw this site polarispowersports.com and they had yellow and gray fenders to buy. I was wondering has anyone bought these, and do they have the black mud flap pieces on them or do I have to take the ones off of my old ones to put on the new ones? I have a remington and wanted to get new fenders to put on not during hunting season and change them. Also, how hard is it to change the pieces around the headlight pod?

All the body panels are available thru polaris, in red, yellow, silver, and green. check the 2001 catalog but I think the price was around $350us. Complete with stickers.

The fender kits do not have the mud flaps. I would reccommend buying them if you have the camo plastic. The mud flaps are riveted and bolted on. It is a pain to get the rivets out without screwing up the plastic. Changing the plastic is not that hard, just time consuming. Also if your bike is not a 2001 you will need a new lower headlight pod, choke cable, indicator lights and a new harness for the indicator. Good luck on the harness, so far it does not exist in the parts manual. If you want the decals that is extra, the only decals on the plastic are some of the warning decals. I just went through this putting the gray plastic on a 2000 bike.

hey sportsman500nc,
my friend just bought a silver fender kit from polaris. it does not include decals. he ordered the diamond plate decals that you would normally see on the yellow fenders. i think it will look awesome! we plan to install the kit and decals this weekend. he currently has a 2000 sp500 with beat-up camo green fenders. he's gonna tell everyone that he bought a NEW QUAD!

How is one supposed to remove the front plastic? Do you have to take the whole headlight pod off and the bars or is there some trick?
