Bought a Dune buggy with a 1100cc motorcycle engine in it.
The engine comes out of a I think 1979 Yamaha XS 1100.
It's a 5 speed 4 cylinder with clutch.
Crazy power tires just spin most of the time. Want some reviews on these engines. Do they last long and and are they reliable. Did anyone ever have one of these motorcycles please give me some reviews thanks. 😀

 

I own several bikes with xs1100 motors. They are plentiful and put out about 90 horsepower. IF you can find the ones with oil coolers, theat may also help to keep the teperature lower Get a donor bike or motor and take ALL of the oil filter assembly, including the extra plate with the fittings. Can you post pics of how it mounts in? I would love to see it!
