Rear shock fluid leak?
#1
I was trying to losen the two "nuts" to soften the rear spring today. While hitting the top "nut" to get it lose, the bolt with the hose going to the top of the shock started to leak a clear fluid. I assume this fluid is for the shock. Do I need to and can I add the fluid back? It looks like I lost a few ounces of it, maybe less than that. I did manage to tighten the bolt to stop the leak. BTW I never got the stop "nuts" lose to soften the ride any suggestions there as well?

I guess you got the spring to stop leaking now? LOL J/K
I take it you still haven't gotten it loose yet. You could try a little penatrating fluid to loosen it, but I would not hold my breath on this as it doesn't always work well on aluminum.

Called both Bombardier shops close to my house and both gave me the same answer....."we can't and don't do that". But by chance I called the local Yamaha dealership and they said "we'd be happy to change the fluid and recharge your shock". Bombardier looks like your dealerships need to get some tech's trained.

I'm glad to see that your being taken care of. At least your doing it the right way by changing the fluid as long as your doing it. Make sure they chech that bolt while they have it apart.
Did you get the spring nuts loose? Hope so!
