Vegas or Dumont Saturday 4/7
#1
Is anyone riding in the Vegas area this Saturday, 4/7? I may be in the area to pick up my Turbo DS. I'm coming from Texas. Will I get stuck in sand at the riding locations if my CAR is low to the ground?

Majorecho, Steve had my DS running over the weekend at Little Sahara. They busted their butts to get it done. The intercooler and pipes took a lot of time and money, but hopefully was worth it. Steve said the DS started right up! He ran it up the hill several times and didn't have to adjust anything. With the intercooler, the cooler intake air will be more dense, so I thought he'd have to fatten up the jetting, but he didn't. I think the EFI is smart enough to compensate on it's own for the lower intake temperature. He was running around 12psi of boost. Steve had to sneak the DS into LS since it has never been licensed. He is re-chroming the intercooler pipes this week becasue they looked like 8 pipes. It will be done by Friday. Steve is heading to Vegas Friday afternoon and will go to Dumont on Saturday. Since I wanted the DS ASAP, I am meeting up with him in Vegas on Saturday to get the DS. I may stay in Vegas or go to Dumont on Saturday. Maybe we can hook up another time and place to compare our turbos. Let me know when you pickup your turbo.

ScoobyDFW,
I just returned from a visit w/ Steve to check out your bike. I think it looks awesome! The intercooler bolted up very nicely and according to Steve - is making a huge difference in performance. Your bike sounds so sweet - you'll crap your pants when you hear it throttle up... AND your bike has NO turbo lag. Steve went down one size on the turbo and that made all the difference. I belive you'll be very pleased with the results , let me know how the placement of the K&N works for you, it's placed in a different location on my bike.
Don't forget your paddles!
and have fun at the dunes.

There may still be some lag. The K&N filter setup has to go. The turbo gets too hot for the soft rubber compound of the filter. The filter breaks apart along the clamp at the turbo due to the heat. I also bump the filter with my knee. At some point I may do something similar to your air filter setup.
