Default 1999 bombadaier 500 4x4

New to forum.
Hi guys, looking at a 99 bombardier 500 4x4. Any pros or cons?
It has a clutch problem, something to do with braking . Works like a
jake brake on a truck? Any advise will help Thanks

Most likely your talking about (EBS) Engine Braking System. Not sure about Can-AM but on Polaris its a one way bearing on the Primary/Driven clutch.
On CVT ATVs with the snowmobile type gas and go clutches with belt it allows the engine compression to help slow the ATV down a hill without using brakes or else the machine would just free wheel down the hill like a ATV in neutral.

Really its just a feature. My 2001 SP500 has EBS yet my dads 1997 SP500 does not, he just relies on brakes 100%.
No Snowmobile I know of has EBS, they do not need it since they do not free roll like a ATV when you let off the gas.

Thank you, do you know if you can just take it out?
Is this a big job to replace?
What would a 4 wheeler in good condition other than problem
be worth? 1999 Bombardier 500 4x4.Does anyone have pics of
this 4x4, have not seen it yet. Just going by what was told.
