Hey guys, I'm working on a Zongshen ATV and can not find the tech manual download to save my life. The only hits I've found on Google want my credit card. Does anyone have links to these manuals?

I'm not getting spark and may have some other issues. I'll post my progress!

 

prosuming uv a good battery check ur cdi ,coil and stator if not getting spark normaly its 1 of these gone ...if not check ur wiering and connectors possible one of the Wier's are not grounded correctly

 

The starter is turning the motor over, how does one troubleshoot the CDI and the stator?

 

it is handy to try puting a new cdi or cdi of another bike to test if dont have one u can always test using a multameter

 

I'm pretty hand with a meter, how do you test the CDI with it?

And after watching this video I feel like I'm willing to remove ALL the :censored: "safety" switches

 

I went ahead and ordered a replacement CDI from wingsmotor on eBay. I haven't tested all the electrics to know its the CDI for sure but I want the new CDI on hand just in case. That was exactly the problem on an old Chinese 150cc dirt bike I had. This quad was given to me by a neighbor who has a Redcat he wants me to troubleshoot. If he needs a CDI and I don't then I'll just sell him the one I ordered.

 

I have the new CDI and a new battery! No time to test it out yet though

 

well I stripped the wire loom off and traced some wires. I ended up cutting the kill wire to the CDI and got.... SPARK! But now I am totally confused, I re-connected the kill and still get spark. I dont know whats going on here.
