Default Oil leak

I have a 2001 yamaha bear tracker I recently bought, and I have noticed small
droplets of oil coming from a couple of seams. Wondering if there is a additive I can add to the oil that will fix the problem? Thanks you

If accessible you might try to tighten up any engine case/cover bolts and see if you can stop the leak.Wouldn't add anything to the oil to try to stop leaks as it more than likely would screw up the oil pump or worse. Better to live with a leak than to have a destroyed engine.Only sure fire way to stop a leak is to tear one down, replace gaskets or new sealant around the cases. If you go that far, might as well freshen/rebuild the engine.Had guys that smeared jb weld, etc around leaks, but most didn't help.Possible there are products out there that could help externally on leaks, but I never tried any of em.

If its not that bad, just keep checking the oil often to make sure its not leaking enough to notice on the dipstick. I assume you didn't spend a whole lot of money on it, a 2001 Beartracker is about a $900 quad in good condition. Rebuilding the engine could end up costing more than the quad is worth. Its something to watch, but a few drops isn't a big deal. Just make sure you top it off each time you ride. Buying a quart or 2 of oil occasionally costs a lot less than rebuilding the engine.
