Just thought I'd let you guys know, I tried removing some of the big ugly caution and warning stickers on my 99 Scrambler 400 last night and I was successful! All it took was three things, a hot glue gun, a razor blade, and a chemical/cleaner called "Whip" which can be found at most department stores. I took the hot glue gun and heated a small piece of decal at a time, and then carefully scraped it off with the razor blade. This took a while. After the decal was removed the sticky backing from the decal was still on the fender. I took a paper towel and sprayed whip on it and kept rubbing the spot. Eventually the whip loosened the sticky stuff and the sticky stuff came right off. When I was done I washed and waxed the whole four wheeler and you can't even tell that there was once big ugly warning stickers on the fenders. The spots where the stickers were look nice and clean.

That's the first thing I did to my Scrambler, and the Sportsman, when we got them. I was suprised much better they looked afterwards!

I used a blow dryer to heat them, started the edge with a blade, and then just peeled off the sticker by hand. Then I sprayed it with WD40 and wiped it off. Ta-da! Can't even see the outlines.

 

That is alot of work just use "Goo Gone" 2 secs they come right off. That is the simple way

 

just use gas to wipe off the stickers. That's all

 

Gas will dull the finish on the nice shiny new fenders. I also used a blow dryer to heat and then pealed off. Used diluted Castrol Super Clean Spray to get the sticky stuff off. Still a pain in the a** however, looks good now though. CT 00 Scrambler 500

 

Why not just us a power washer?

 

Glad to see others removing those unsightly stickers. After you remove them, the areas around them that have been previously scratched tend to be more noticeable. Has anyone found a good way to polish the plastic to make it look new again? ie..polishing compound and a buffer? I've tried Mothers plastic polish, it adds some luster, however it does not remove scratches?? Thanks, Darryl

 

I can tell you what not to buy for polishing your plastic... PC racing's plastic renew..
Its a $20.00 bottle of commercial floor wax...No sh**, thought it was some great new product..... If you want to use wax head for the local hardware store...

wiil happen the day I bring them home.
