Default 87 TRX250R Restoration

Hi, I just picked up a 87 TRX250R from a friend that I'm planning to restore and have some fun with. I've ridden it before so I know it's a screamer but this is my first quad and don't really know where to get the stuff I need. It needs a new light (I'd like to upgrade), some new plastic, handlebars, a seat cover, etc etc...the usual stuff. I've poked around a bit on eBay. Is that he best source or is there somewhere better I should be looking? Thanks!

I like Amazon a bit more than ebay these days. Also plenty of companies selling 250r swag still. There are even a few websites dedicated to the most famous of all quads. Congrats on the R, they can be an addiction.

Is the foam on the seat still good? If so just by the out door vinyl and get a person to put it on.
I ripped the seat on my sled and the lady who recovers seat actually did a better looking job recovering the seat then stock and it cost $60 total.

You'll probably have to go with after market plastic.
Honda no longer makes OEM plastic for the 250R, you can still find some by searching the web but it will be costly.
Go to Rockymountainatv.com for a lot of needed parts, even plastic.
