Default Question on old wolverine

So I acquired an old wolverine in great shape. '95 model but nice. Problem is in the centrifugal clutch and one way bearing. The '97 on up got a new designed hub, bearing, and clutch. Anyone know if the new design will swap into the older bike? The one way bearing in mine slips and it's no longer offered for sale. Thinking of buying a whole used unit out a '97 up with hub, clutch, and bearing to retrofit in the '95. Anyone know if it works?

Unless someone on here has done it, the best way to check is to look up the parts drawings for both machines and check that the bits that touch, but you are not changing, like the crankshaft and secondary clutch basket, have the same part numbers. If they do, you are good to go, if they don't, they may still fit, but you are going to have to decide if you will take a chance or not. A good Yamaha dealer may be able to tell you, they will probably have had to fix an "unobtainable" one way clutch.

Good advice on checking other related part numbers. Will do it. Thanks
