I have a 1985 suzuki lt230ge now ive had it since new in 85 nvr had a problem with it. All original and doesnt smoke at all now ive been noticing lately that when i give it gas it backfires and bogs out. Sometimes its fine and runs amazing and other it runs like ****. The carb is in prestine condition but i cleaned set the needle on the 3rd notch and no blockage. It starts fine and idles great. But when i really wanna get her goin like i normally do it loses power and pops and 3/4 to full throttle. The spark is blueish red sometimes. It has a new uni air filter carb was thoroughly cleaned new plug in it oil was changed. It seems i have to keep adjusting the carb every like 15 mins to run right. Any thoughts? Valves r good rings are good compression is at 155 im stumped.

 

I even hold it pinned at full throttle and sometimes it kicks back in and goes and then does it again a minutle later. Btw it has a clean inline fuel filter.
