Default Y pipe on my 2007 Polaris 700 efi

Is it normal for the y pipe on my Polaris 700 efi to get red hot if not what could be the issue?

Common problem on some 700 and 800s. If you don't have an exhaust leak at the gasket that could be causing the pipe to suck air, then more than likely the fuel ratio is lean. We reflashed several machines on Digital Wrench that were doing this to make them run richer. Plus some people have gone to an 800 pipe mainly because the 700 was bad about cracking. Don't know if that would solve the glowing pipe problem though with out reflashing anyway.

It does sound like a slight exhaust leak but there are two gaskets it looks like there's one on the head as well as pipe connection where there are two springs holding them together possibly just change the both along with hardware and springs to be on safe side do you think I should replace pipe as well and where can I get my quad reflashed Dealer???

Has a single gasket with two exhaust cutouts along with a donut that seals the y pipe to the exhaust pipe. Either one of these can cause problems if leaking bad enough. Items #24,#5.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse
Dealer has to reflash the computer if needed. Plus the 8mm allen bolts have a habit of vibrating loose on some machines. Make sure if you replace the gasket to use blue lock tite on the bolts.
