Default Chain / Sprockets??? - Polaris 97 Xplorer 400

I need to replace my two rear sprockets and chain on my Xplorer 400 4x4.

OEM is pretty expensive and not sure it is the better option... Wondering if I should go aftermarket ? I've found Primary Drive replacement or Sunstar replacement sprockets. Any experience with either of these brands? Not sure which chain I should be considering. I know it is a 520 with 84 links.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Sunstar or JT sprockets are a couple of good aftermarkets I've used with no problems on atvs. Even had a JT front sprocket on my old Honda street bike. Good alternatives to oem plus they offer different sizes not available from manufacturers. Make sure the chain is a good quality o-ring. DID,Regina,Tsubaki,EK,Renthal to name a few.

I'll order the Sunstar. I see O-ring and X-ring. I need the O-ring? Any significant differences in chain qualities? Is there something specific I should be looking for? I see a moose that sounds good for $79?

Mooses new high-quality O-ring chain features extra-high-tensile strength link plates and side plates with rust-resistant nickel-plating
Grease is vacuum-injected into wear areas
If your motorcycle came from the factory with O-ring or newer style sealed chain, it must be replaced with a sealed chain. Heavy-duty chain is not for use on a motorcycle that came stocked with a sealed chain. Also, standard chain is not suitable for racing or any motorcycle which came stock with a sealed or heavy-duty chain.

Moose is a good chain also from what I've heard. Probably made by one of the major manufacturers for them. My choice would be either a DID or Regina as we sold quite of few of them over the years. DID is more than likely what is on your atv now if you check.
