The heat sensor on my 325 Trail Boss went out and it did the same thing. It was running in 0 degree weather! Took it to the dealer and he put a new one in for free. They have had problems with them and I think there might have been a recall on them.

Vermont magnum...on the 325 you have a "thermister" located in the top of your oil cooler that has two wires coming out that goes to one of those 3 boxes you are talking about...this box is called a LR60 in the polaris service manual....as the oil temp rises the "resistance" drops on the two wires from the thermister...at a certain resistance the LR60 tells the fan to come on....as the oil temp gets even higher the resistance is even lower and the LR60 tells the oil temp lite to come on...hope this helps some..R

Thanks for the excellent info. My Mag's oil light comes on as soon as I turn the key. It's going to the shop tomorrow to have this fixed as well as the new oil lines.

For anyone who has had their oil lines changed, When they changed the oil lines did they also do an oil change free of charge? Mine's due and I usually do it myself, but if they do it as part of the recall, all the better.

They just topped it off. I asked the same thing because I was due for an oil change too. BK
