oil cooler fan HELP!!!

Greetings I have a 2000 magnum 325 I had a problem with the oil cooling fan running all the time. after pokeing around with my trusty voltage meater I managed to short some thing out cause now my fan will not run at all and the oil light is does any one have any ideas on where I should look next the only thing I can think of is I might have fried one of the 3 boxes that are located on the front under the cover? thanks in advance for any suggestions

Vermont magnum...on the 325 you have a "thermister" located in the top of your oil cooler that has two wires coming out that goes to one of those 3 boxes you are talking about...this box is called a LR60 in the polaris service manual....as the oil temp rises the "resistance" drops on the two wires from the thermister...at a certain resistance the LR60 tells the fan to come on....as the oil temp gets even higher the resistance is even lower and the LR60 tells the oil temp lite to come on...hope this helps some..R

Thanks for the excellent info. My Mag's oil light comes on as soon as I turn the key. It's going to the shop tomorrow to have this fixed as well as the new oil lines.
For anyone who has had their oil lines changed, When they changed the oil lines did they also do an oil change free of charge? Mine's due and I usually do it myself, but if they do it as part of the recall, all the better.
