Default Tao Tao ata 110b kids quad

My girlfriend's daughter has a taotao 110 cc ATV ata 110b it's been sitting for a few years and we are having trouble getting it to start, as soon as we turn the key it sounds like the start button is stuck and it just keeps going until you turn the key off and it will not start up. anyone else have any problems like this? I just ordered a new ignition coil and battery, does that sound like the problem? Any help would be great, thanks in advance!

Neither ignition coil or battery will cause the starter to run. Either the starter button is sticking on or the wires to it are shorted together. Sort this out before going into why it won't fire.

Yup, sound like more the button if faulty to me. Or it's grounded somewhere down stream.

Finally got it figured out. No ground wire to bundled soldered negative wires. Soldered a wire from bundle to frame and push buttons works. But no spark. Ordered new stator now i have weak spark.
