Our Honda dealer should be in jail.

I just did a front wheel bearing change on a friends 2006 Foreman 500E.S. Each side has one bearing with two dust seals.
We ended up going to Our Canadian Honda dealer and they wanted $150 per side!
Long story short we order both bearings and seals on Ebay for $30 U.S each side. We just paid 25% exchange rate for American money and brought them back to Canada duty free. I live on the Ontario , Michigan border.
It was just crazy.

That's quite a mark up. That's one thing I noticed about the dealer that we've bought 4 quads from. The markup is only about 20%. And they give me 10% off for being a good customer. I can usually get a price that is right around eBay prices and I don't have to pay shipping if I'm willing to pick it up at the shop.

Was that dealer quoting you an installed price? hard to believe he was that high on just parts only. My guess is he thought you wanted them installed.
If not then you learned a lesson and don't be afraid to spread the word, if in fact the dealer was ripping you off, word of mouth can do a lot of damage. You may want to discuss this with the dealer and ask for an explanation....I would !!
