Default 97 Polaris magnum 425 help

OK I just picked up the magnum 425 4x4 was told it just needed a battery installed. I put the new battery in it and it had no power to the headlights or anything. Well I pull started it the headlights and everything worked didn't try hitting the starter button didn't want to wreck anything. I shut it off and changed the starter relay still nothing and now it won't start at all please help

Make sure the on/off emergency kill switch is in the on position. May seem like a stupid answer but people have done that before. It can kill power to the ignition, lights, etc. If it's in the on position then check the circuit breaker in the plastic pouch up from the battery. It sends power to the left control switch, lights, then to the ignition switch. If it doesn't have power on each side of the red wire, slice the pouch open and check the terminals. If bad or corroded you can get this breaker at any auto supply. You can start these machines with just the recoil because because the ignition is magneto triggered and doesn't actually need a battery to run,but needs one for the electric starter, cooling fan, awd, lights, regulator, etc.
