ETON Yukon II backfires to exhaust and stops when changing gear
#1
Hello and first of all...great forum...thx for this great place
Was jut reading in the past, but now i have my own issue...smile
Got a Yukon II for free and changed oil, gas, spark plug and cleaned carb...
Started up just fine (besides that i had to jump it)
BUT...it smokes like hell in white and backfires into exhaust...
Also, as soon i try to change the forward/backward lever, it stalls right away...
Does that sound familiar to anyone?!
Haven't done Compression test because the plug is so small that i have to get an adopter first...
Hope anyone can help...
Thx in advance

White smoke is often a sign of water in the system, some water from the fuel tank may have got into the carb. You will see it in the float bowl when you are cleaning, if this is the problem. It may be that the engine is running so badly that the smoke is un-burnt fuel.

The carb was bad dirty...so i ultra sonic'ed it and cleaned all vents and holes with pressure air...looks like new now and starts up just nice...but still horrible run...
And still...waiting on adapter for my compression tester...
Do you have a atv like that?!
