Question 1998 Yamaha Blaster

New to quads, wondering what the heck this component of my atv is. It came to me missing the cover/cap to whatever it... well... covers, and I'd like to order a new one so it stops spitting out whatever is in there. Can anyone tell me what this is? It's under my seat.

Welcome to the forums.

Is there a tube in the hole? I tried to find in the parts diagram. Closet thing I could find was part #26. Just says "clip" for the description.

if your picture shows near the back right of the air box, that is where you put the oil into the oil tank. Now if you are not using the oil pump which I assume and just mixing your oil an gas, then you should just throw the oil tank under your seat away. That is very common as not many people use the oil delivery system in their blasters as it is known to not work properly as blasters go through a lot of abuse and rpm changes frequently.

My friend who I am always helping him work on a blaster goes further and takes the plastic gear out of the oil pump in the engine too.
