So, I just purchased a TaoTao 125cc Go Kart for my daughter. It's a 2014 model (used) and in great shape. It shifts through all 3 gears perfectly and runs awesome. Well, that is, until the other day. My son was riding it around and it died. When he went to restart it, nothing happened. No clicking, nothing. The turn signals still work but, if you turn the key and try to start it while the turn signals are on, they stop working until you release the key. The horn, does NOT work but, was working prior to this. Since we have owned it (2 weeks) you didn't have to press the brake pedal for it to start, like the TaoTao 110 ATV my son has. I thought it was odd but, assumed it was because the go kart had neutral and my sons wheeler does not. I tested the ignition switch and it checked out fine. When I jumped the starter relay with a screwdriver, nothing happened. No sparks, no clicking, nothing. I checked the fuse and it's good and all of the wiring connectors are good as well. I'm honestly at a loss and don't know what to try next. The previous owner said the battery is new as well and it looks very new. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

 

check for voltage at the starter. If you have no power on the battery side then test the battery side wire cor continuity. If no continuity then their is something wrong with that wire. Go from their

 

Flat battery, bad connection on battery, or bad earth.
