Default Honda Foreman dies when you give it gas

Hey all, I have a Honda Foreman TRX450SX in the shop and have hit a wall, so i'm hoping to get some feedback and ideas. The atv came in with multiple issues and not running. At this point, it has a new CDI, and new carburetor, and will start and idle without a problem. However once you give it any gas, it immediately dies. I have checked the timing and verified proper valve adjustment. I would really appreciate some ideas as to what I may be missing.

Thanks!

This is almost always a carb issue, I'm not a great believer in "fit a new carb" as they often need tuning, and the old carb would be set right before getting dirt in it, so will be right once you get the dirt out. However, the 450 is unusual in that a faulty regulator will kill the spark. They normally won't spark at all until you swap out the regulator, but it is worth checking, if you are sure the carb and CDI are OK.

Verify that it has the correct main jet and check that the needle and slide are free, not binding. If the needle has adjustment e-clip try a richer setting. I really like the Dynojet stage 1 kits, let you tune the needle for mid range.
