Ok guys I need your help. I have a 86 TRX 250R. I put a huge hole in my FMF pipe. So I guess it is time to buy a new one. So WHich one should I get. FMF, DG, LRD? Any hlep whould be greatly appreciated. Also I have a FMF silencer on it as well. Do I have to replace the silencer if I choose a different make of pipe?

Thanks

You didn't say what you mainly do, but the New "Fatty" is hard to beat as well as being a super good bargain from Moto-man at $160 bucks. The Paul Turner Midrange "Race" pipe as well as the LRD are good pipes but are more expensive than the FMF and really don't give you more power just a slightly different torque curve. If you like to ride trails, but hit some dunes also get the LRD because it can be tuned to be good at both. The LRD on My '86 was $300 (chromed + shipping to Florida) so it isn't cheap.

I'd go for the LRD, its adjustable, so you can fine tune it to your tastes, plus it looks great. Chances are your fmf silencer will work (I run an FMF ISDE on my LRD pipe and it works fine)

Ricky's lights rule...I found that if you spin the lights UNDER the clamp instead of over them, they are way more protected in a roll..I rolled once and bent one of the stems the lights are mounted on, and broke the lens..good thing is the lights inside are merely track lighting, available at any Home Depot, so I bought 3 bulbs for 10 bux..and am riding again. Light output is alot better than stock, and I don't even have a rewound stator yet.

I spliced them into my stock headlight switch..they only have on and off (fine by me)

I believe the lights retail for 219.99, but I could be wrong, might want to check out Ricky's page

I have an LRD Team B, FMF Fatty, and a Bill's Exhaut. I personally like the Bill's. Everything depends on your port job, but the Bill's is definitly the fastest on my bike. It runs good on both top and bottom. Where as the Fatty is only good on bottom, and the LRD isnt as fast on top as the Bill's. Plus it is cheap.
