Need some help. Got a 2002 Honda foreman rubicon 500. Even when it's warm outside, it seems cold natured and hesitates to take gas. I cleaned the carb and installed a new kit but no help. Could there be something wrong with the carburetor? Thank you for the help. New to working on four wheelers, but eager to learn. Shop repair prices are out of my budget.

 

The 500's carburettor isn't a good one, and suffers from the CD piston sticking, and holes in the diaphragm. Check the piston is rising when you rev up, with the airbox removed. I never fit carb rebuild kits, as they seem to cause more problems than they cure. Though the 500 is inclined to wear the jet needle out, so I have fitted them.
