Anybody think Honda will make a 400EX ish machine that is more for the trail riders who desire a reverse? I know for a fact they'd sell tons of em. Right now I've got a Warrior for the wife but after riding a friends 400EX I'd like to get one for her. The 250EX is a nice idea but needs more motor.

Have you tried the 300ex? Its a nice bike with good power, a little more than the 250ex.

You should have your wife test ride a 250ex- I think she'll find that she will appreciate the "lack of power". I was the same way- I kept pushing my wife to a bigger, MORE POWERFUL bike-... but she loved the comfort and control of the 250ex. She kept saying, "I want a bike that I can control- not a bike that controls me"...

As she gets more comfortable with the bike, I'll be hopping it up with exhaust, filters, and possible engine upgrades. Personally, I think they are pretty quick... and have a great re-sale value if she decides she doesn't want to ride any more.

Well she likes the high speed cruise on the Warrior and it's larger stance. The Raptor excites her and she likes it alot but only on the fire roads or sand. It's too much for her in the woods. I dont really see an advantage to the 300ex here but a 400EX with reverse would be sweet. I'm really trying to get her more interested in riding woods but she tires out on the Warrior pretty quickly, I've given up on her riding our Blaster. Any other suggestions? Even considered a Polaris sport 400, but they're huge.

I was in a Yamaha dealer the other day and asked him how the blaster compairs to the new 250ex. The Yamaha sales person admitted that the 250ex is a better ride and more powerful. I imagine if you piped the blaster it would be compairable- but you can't beat the electric start- and the comfort of the Honda ride.

honda is not known to come out with upgrades on quads. well i guess they did with the 250R but that's about it. When Honda comes out with a ne Hi-Performance machine it will probably have reverse. and so will suzuki's and kawasaki's. Honda will just make a new, faster, quad.

the 250EX is really a nice machine. at 6'2 im a little bit big for it though. it really suprised me with its performance. it just really well to. i didnt get a chance to ride it in the woods but watchin it go through it seemed to be right at home. its decently fast as well. the handle bars feel a little too small for my liking though.
